| Conclusion | Costing 200 Euro less, the SD600 lacks a lot compared to the SD707 (viewfinder, lens ring, accessory shoe, mic and headphone jacks).Also the display is smaller and setting the focus manually is harder without a lens ring.But still, it is an interesting camera for those filming in automatic mode. | Just as the consumer version FX1 the Sony HVR-Z1 lacks CCDs with full HDV-resolution, which is noticeable at least in the horizontals.Nevertheless, the subjective image impression is still very good due to the very good dynamic behavior with extremely little noise and the consistent color reproduction.Despite the comparatively large wide-angle, optical errors are within limits, only little distortion and chromatic aberrations can be detected.In low light-situations the FX1 is good, the low noise being a plus. | Unfortunately, with the AG-HVX200 Panasonic puts its focus on pixel shift instead of real CCD-resolution.This provides only satisfactory results in terms of luminance resolution.The color resolution is much better, in the SD-Modi (especially DVCPro50) the HVX200 is also very good.Image noise is increased by the delineation, therefore lowlight-images look somewhat unsettled.The image dynamic and the very good lens still make for a good image impression in HiDef, in the DVCPro50-mode it is very good. | Conclusion |
