Conclusion This cam shines with unusual (in this price category) manual controls and smart automatic modes and a touchscreen.But the small 1 chip sensor limits the picture quality too much.Audio-only recording, Xacti-Library-Function and adjustable ISO are features that the more established rivals lack.Furthermore this camera offers great manual control in combination with the display of relevant parameters such as focus-distance or shutter.Even the low-light performance of the camera is remarkable for this price class.Nonetheless the camera has several flaws, eg. the lacking support for the european 50 HZ standard.Due to the bumpy image stabilisation and the poor automatics the camera is not very suited for newbies who want a simple camera for holiday trips.Ambitious videographers on the other hand will not be able to fully appreciate the manual control due to the handling, and the small wide angle will surely be a nuisance.In terms of sharpness the camera can only compete with its rivals in the 30p-mode.
